Are you ready to bring archery to your school?
To run a NASP certified range in your school gymnasium you need to be a Basic Archery Instructor (BAI). To achieve this you need to attend a training put on by the SWF NASP coordinator. The training teaches all who attend how to set-up the proper range, safety guidelines, coaching techniques and repair of the equipment. Once you have taken the training you will be required to write a short exam for safety purposes. Finally once all this is done you will be presented with a certificate and a personal BAI number.
These trainings run regularly throughout the year, a class consists of a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 12. If you have enough people from your own school or organization you can host a training. To host a training the host school must already have a kit and net installed!
To keep up with trainings that are running across the province you can follow the BAI website training calendar: www.naspbai.org
