Youth Conservation Camp

The SWF Youth Conservation Camp is back for the 2026 Summer!!

at the Hannin Creek Education & Applied Research Centre, Candle Lake, SK

Developed to offer young people the opportunity to learn and experience in the great outdoors, the SWF Conservation Camp has been an ongoing success for over 30 years.

At camp, boys and girls aged 12-14 are given hands-on learning in a wide range of outdoor activities including:

Archery, canoeing, air rifle shooting, trapping, wildlife identification, plant identification, survival skills, camp cooking, fisheries studies, map & compass, GPS use and so much more.

GIRLS CAMP runs August 4-8, 2026
BOYS CAMP runs August 11-15, 2026

Please note that campers must be sponsored by an SWF branch.

HOW TO REGISTER:

  • Have the youth interested in attending camp fill out the registration form.
  • Send this registration form to your LOCAL WILDLIFE BRANCH. The local wildlife branch will determine if they will sponsor the youth to attend camp.
  • If the local branch agrees to sponsor the youth, the local branch will submit the registration form, letter of reference, and cheque to the SWF Central Office.

2026 Youth Conservation Camp Applications are now open! Click here to download the application for the youth to complete. Please note, no typed applications will be accepted – the youth must hand write all responses on the form. Once the forms is complete, send it off to your local SWF branch for sponsorship consideration.

For information, contact Courtney Devins at 306-692-8812 or cdevins@swf.sk.ca
