Notice Nature BINGO Card

Notice Nature is a Saskatchewan community youth program coordinated by the North Saskatchewan River Basin Council (NSRBC). This program is created for youth within areas of Saskatchewan to encourage outdoor play through fun, nature-loving learning activities while winning some awesome prizes!

In 2020, with many youth extracurricular activities closed, we thought of ways to offer youth a way to get outside and interact with nature while winning some prizes. Then in 2021, we launched Notice Nature, a program aimed at getting kids to look up, look around, and notice nature – the first step to land and water stewardship. We worked with existing and new partners and created a bingo-style game where youth completed fun, nature-loving activities and submitted their cards to their local library for a prize. Our youth compromised so much over the last few years, and we were pleased to offer them this exciting new program to head into the summer with. Notice Nature was a great success from its very first year and has evolved to include participants of all ages! Notice Nature launches each spring and prize distribution runs until fall.

Why should you notice nature?

Healthy land and water start with you. We’re here to help you look up, look around, and notice nature, which we believe is the first step to land and water stewardship. Healthy land and water mean healthy wildlife, people, ecosystems, communities, and all the places we love. We hope you discover fun activities that help you connect with nature and inspire you to see your natural environment a little differently.

Did we mention there are awesome prizes to be won!?

The 2025 Notice Nature program region includes libraries within the towns and cities of Meadow Lake, Lloydminster, North Battleford, Kindersley, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Melfort, Yorkton, and all connecting areas.

Notice Nature Passports and Cards can be used for prize submission at any participating library location (see participating locations below).

Participants of all ages are welcome!

Outside the region?

Participants outside the region are welcome to use the Notice Nature resources on the website and are encouraged to coordinate local prizes/incentives. Feel free to hold onto any activity cards and email them to noticenaturesk@gmail.com, so we may gauge interest and expand the program in the future.
