The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF) is excited to announce the first-ever Canadian Advancing Women in Conservation (AWIC) Summit!

September 14, 2022 by Courtney Devins

The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF) is excited to announce the first-ever Canadian Advancing Women in Conservation (AWIC) Summit, taking place November 4-6, 2022 in Saskatoon, SK.

AWIC is a chance for women from all fields of conservation (NGO, government, academia, industry, etc.) from all over Canada to come together to address challenges, discuss solutions, enhance leadership skills, and develop a strong, nurturing community for women working in a field where the roles of women have been traditionally downplayed.

This Summit will focus on highlighting women’s unique challenges and contributions to conservation, action planning, and skill building, while networking with women and men working and volunteering in conservation and environmental sectors.

Join us at the Staybridge/Holiday Inn for this weekend event, to hear Keynote Speaker Jill Heinerth regale her adventurous life experiences to empower women to take on new challenges. As well, listen to presentations from the Canadian Wildlife Federation, the Ministry of Environment, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and more!

Spaces are limited, so register now!

To register, or for more information about the AWIC Summit, please visit www.swf.sk.ca, or call 306-692-8812.
