The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF) celebrates 90 years of leadership in conservation with our 90th Annual Convention in Moose Jaw, February 14, 15, and 16, 2019.
Hunters, anglers, and other conservationists from across the province will gather to discuss issues, participate in workshops, debate resolutions, develop policy, review SWF program updates, and attend presentations on wildlife, fisheries and enforcement. The SWF will be conducting a fundraising event and two awards banquets recognizing member and branch achievements and milestones over the three evenings.
“Our Convention is the annual premier opportunity for our members to discuss the many issues facing Saskatchewan’s wildlife and fisheries resources and the outdoor activities that are enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of Saskatchewan residents every year”, says SWF President Heath Dreger.
“We’re thrilled to have world renowned speaker Bruce Vincent, a third-generation logger and forest activist out of Montana providing this year’s keynote address, “continues Dreger, “in addition, we are very excited to have the Hon. Dustin Duncan, Minster of Environment, as a guest speaker”.
This year’s theme is “90 Years of Leadership in Conservation”, coinciding with the celebration of our organization’s 90th anniversary. Over the last 90 years, the SWF and its branches have evolved and come together across the province to build a legacy of conservation for generations to come.
