Today we celebrate #internationalwomensday!
Women often go unrepresented at a leadership level when it comes to the management of our natural resources, despite enjoying the outdoors as hunters, anglers and trappers. In fact, in most rooms where conservation decisions are being made, you’ll find women are the minority.
The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation is excited to announce the FIRST-EVER National Advancing Women in Conservation (AWIC) Summit, taking place November 4-6, 2022 in Saskatoon, SK.
AWIC is a chance for women from all fields conservation (NGO, government, academia, industry, etc) from all
over Canada to come together to address challenges, discuss solutions, enhance leadership skills, and develop a strong, nurturing community for women working in a field where the roles
of women have been traditionally downplayed.
Join us to for intriguing discussions, breakout sessions, and a Keynote Speaker presentation from Canadian underwater explorer, Jill Heinerth!
Only 100 spaces available, and these will fill up fast! Registration can be found online at https://saskatchewan-wildlife-federation.myshopify.com/…
