Hunting season is just around the corner!
In order to qualify for Local & Provincial Big Game Awards, SWF Memberships are required to be purchased before the beginning of the hunting season.
Please note: For individuals who hunt bear during the spring season, an SWF membership would have to have been purchased prior to the spring bear season to qualify for Henry Kelsey Big Game Awards. To qualify for awards for all other species, an SWF membership must be purchased prior to the opening of the specified big game season. Animals harvested without having an SWF membership will not qualify for local branch or provincial awards, with the exception of the provincial Ernie Paynter Award for the best overall head, which can be won by a non-member.
