Yellow Fish Road

door hanger 2-2
The Yellow Fish Road™ (YFR) program is a  nationwide environmental education initiative led by Trout Unlimited Canada  (TUC).  Since 1991, thousands of Canadian  youth have learned about their water supply and the impact it has on the health  of their community.  With this knowledge,  youth volunteers have educated communities about the need to protect our  freshwater resources.

What does the Yellow Fish Road Program do?

Participants paint yellow fish next to storm drains in their community to remind their neighbours that anything entering the storm drain flows directly into the local waterbody – untreated.  The particiapnts also distribute yellow, fish-shaped brochures so residents know why yellow fish have appeared in their neighbourhood.

How do YOU get involved?

Yellow Fish Road kits are available – free of charge – from the SWF head office in Moose Jaw.Yellow fish road logo
Each kit contains all the supplies you need for 8-10 participants to get involved painting storm drains and hanging brochures in their community.
